Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Satan is defenseless!

He has no armour with which to fight. This is the reason he flees from the likes of us, when we, by faith, use God’s two-edged sword. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 

Paul warns us of Satan’s tactics. He tells us Satan the Deceiver, in his subtlety, beguiles us in order to corrupt our minds as he did Eve. His Devilish suggestions and temptations are as reasonable and filled with common-sense logic as has ever been presented to a thinking mind. But after one has swallowed all the sweet wine that is in his cup, at the bottom is a venomous viper, ready to strike.

Protect yourselves: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
