Bacon, Eggs and God

Bacon and Eggs and God. Come and Dine

Self

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

The Scriptures are crystal clear on this point. Immorality, injustice, iniquity existed when Solomon wrote those words and that which is done is that which shall be done in our world today.

Wickedness is present in our global society because people ignore the truth of God’s eternal power and divine nature as revealed in the physical nature. One only needs to look at the complexity of the human body to see God’s nature. For example, evolutionist Robert Jastrow wrote:

“The eye is a marvelous instrument, resembling a telescope of the highest quality, with a lens, an adjustable focus, a variable diaphragm for controlling the amount of light, and optical corrections for spherical and chromatic aberration. The eye appears to have been designed; no designer of telescopes could have done better. How could this marvelous instrument have evolved by chance, through a succession of random events?”

Those in this world who claim to be wise have become fools by their insistence that the creation was formed by some cosmic event and a process of evolution. The result of such errant beliefs gave rise to paganism; a religion that comes in many forms.

Any form of paganism is false doctrine. Paul addressed this perversion of the truth in his letter to the believers in Rome (Romans 1:22–27). The people Paul described were worldly and materialistic, worshipping things rather than the creator. They worshipped trees, animals and rocks; going so far as to abuse their bodies in deviant sexual practices to revel in their passions.

The consequences of these false beliefs affect everything. All the problems we see in our societies: violence, hatred, lust, all forms of “unnatural” sexual behaviors can be found in those who became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

This proliferation of false beliefs is expressed in the worship of the earth and humankind. Humanism has resulted in a worship of “self” and “self-expression”, no matter what the consequences. This is the antithesis of truth, which is God-eccentric, not human-centric. Even the so-called Christians who occupy bully pulpits often preach philosophies that result in self being seated on the throne instead of God.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Paul was explaining this to the Romans and he would explain it the same way today to Americans, or Britons, or Filipinos, or Nigerians, or Thais, or Chinese, etc. It is always the same because there is no new thing under the sun.
