Snap Thoughts

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

 

As the children of God we have the Word of God, but many times we read and interpret the right word with the wrong spirit.  We have forgotten that the Scriptures are not our God; they are our guide to God.  The purpose of the Scriptures is not to provide us with a mandate or a moral justification to destroy one another.  The Scriptures are to guide each of us into a loving relationship with God and into loving relationships with one another.

Jesus was able to move beyond his own hurt in being rejected to deal with the hurt of those who had rejected him.
