It’s Eternal

Most of us are so focused on the immediate, we have almost forgotten what it’s like to muse about tomorrow. And to think about eternity isn’t even on the radar of most people. Ironic, because eternity is an awfully long time.

As eternity is forever and ever…it bears thinking about. The secular view is that it doesn’t matter what you believe in…rather, just believe it with all your heart and you’ll be alright. Jesus simply didn’t give us that option. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The truth often offends people because it’s not politically incorrect. The truth offends some sensibilities. The truth doesn’t fit with the worldly view of how God should behave.

Sorry, but God is God, so he gets to choose. His choice was to send his son Jesus to die in order to pay for your sins and mine, and if we put our faith in him, we can have eternal life.

Yes, it’s just that simple.
