Is Your Sky Gloomy?

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Throughout the course of our activities of daily living, we might feel as though our lives are being lived under a cloud. Things just aren’t going the way that we think they should.

It has been my personal experience that if there’s any time where if God is God, where he ought to show up, it’s…under that cloud.

Over two thousand years ago, Peter the Apostle wrote to Christians scattered across the known world. They were undergoing terrible persecution. Some had been covered in tar, set on fire and used as torches at Caesar’s garden parties. I am certain that you would agree that’s one serious cloud.

Peter opens his letter with this greeting, Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Think about that for a minute. God is showing up for these oppressed people through Peter’s letter. Reaching out to them…under their cloud.

Today, as we spend this short time together God is showing up. Showing up for you under your cloud.

I ask you, beseech you, that if right now, you can hear God’s voice in your heart…answer him. Answer him with everything you are.

God can bring the sunshine back into your life.
