Are We Any Better Than The Romans In The Coliseum?

The senseless acts of terrorism perpetrated against Israel and its allies are an atrocity. I completely support the magistrates ordained by a Holy and Righteous God to judge these violent acts, but as Christians should we standing on the sidelines and cheering the deaths of lost people? There is only one verse in Pauline Doctrine for New Testament believers that uses the word “kill”

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13:8-10)

We are not all God’s children, but we all are God’s creation.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27)

And it is God’s desire that all should become his children.

“…Not willing that any should perish…” God does not desire it or wish that His creation should perish. His nature is benevolent, and He sincerely desires the eternal life of all, and His patience toward sinners “proves” that He is willing that they should be saved. If He were not willing, it would be easy for Him to cut them off, and exclude them from hope immediately. God does not operate on your time schedule. How dare any of us attempt to usurp the providence of God.

To publicly cheer the deaths of those who do not know Jehovah God goes against every example set forth by the Master.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:10)

Did you get that Mr. Armchair Quarterback? It says ALL men. May God have mercy on those who are acting like Romans in the coliseum.
